studies considered acupuncture was carried out, or shortly before or after embryo transfer.

The research was carried out by scientists at the University of Maryland in America and the VU University of Amsterdam in Holland . The researchers argue that even taking into account the costs of various treatments, we can say that acupuncture is a technique inexpensive, safe and effective way to increase the success rates of IVF.

It is believed that acupuncture stimulates the neurotransmitters that induce the production and release of gonadotropins , the hormones that control the menstrual cycle and ovulation in women.

It is also felt that acupuncture is able to stimulate blood flow to the uterus and thereby increasing the production of endogenous opioids, inducing the body to relax.

For this reason, acupuncture has been used for centuries in China for regulating fertility and to effectively treat chronic pain disorders as well as many more or less common.
