* Acupuncture by itself or with the headset-acupuncture may increase the success rate of implantation of the embryo during in vitro fertilization (IVF) . In vitro fertilization is one of the techniques used in the treatment of infertility due to hormonal imbalances.
Case Report: A woman of 33 years at the beginning of his third cycle of IVF, has received a total of 8 treatments of acupuncture in a period of one month by associating them even electrical stimulation acupuncture points located on the roof and the use of certain dietary supplements.
Results: The patient achieved successful implantation of the embryo and brought the pregnancy to term . He did not need additional acupuncture sessions after the first treatment period. There was no any complication during pregnancy or childbirth, and there were no side effects as a result of treatments or supplements taken.
In conclusion, the patient has benefited from the use of acupuncture , that technique has proven useful as adjunctive therapy to pharmacological treatments also performed during the preparation for IVF.
